Sigma-Aldrich's Life Science and High Technology Center expands 150,000-square-feet and was built to increase the company's ability to develop new life science and high-tech products. The four-story building houses space for 220 researchers, state-of-the-art scientific equipment, the company's learning center and a 300-seat auditorium. The building is organized around a three-story atrium topped by a clerestory that draws light into the heart of the building. Open offices and support spaces ring the atrium, while glass-walled labs occupy three sides of the perimeter. Locating most labs on the outside glass walls allows researchers to enjoy the daylight and views to the outside. The extensive daylight, heat recovery system, and isolation of the high heat load equipment, all maximize energy conservation. Whenever possible, the design team selected healthy, easy-to-maintain and recyclable materials.

If interested in touring the Center, please be sure and check a time preference when registering.
