Armstrong Teasdale Attorney Earns Judgment Involving DePaul Health Center

Through the efforts of Tim Gearin, a St. Louis County jury cleared DePaul Health Center of all wrongdoing after a woman’s hip dislocated two days after her surgery as a nurse was moving her.

"We had a very qualified nurse that made a good witness," Gearin said. "She testified it was not complicated to move a post-operative leg and that she followed hip protocols and could not tell the jury exactly why and when the hip dislocated. It could have been before she moved [Brinkmeier]. Her description of what happened met the standard of care. Hips can dislocate in the absence of negligence."
