February 8, 2010

Armstrong Teasdale LLP has named Matthew J. Kreutzer as chair of the firm’s Franchise, Distribution and Antitrust subgroup practice, which includes 22 attorneys firmwide. These attorneys combine their expertise in franchising law with their knowledge of antitrust issues that impact business planning, statutory and regulatory compliance, and the formation and management of business relationships.

Kreutzer assumes this new role after six months at Armstrong Teasdale. He is a highly accomplished franchise lawyer who has extensive experience in representing and counseling franchise systems in all stages of development. His work includes protecting and licensing franchise systems by creating and registering their disclosure documents and underlying contracts.

Kreutzer received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 1998 and his B.S. from American University in 1995. He is a member of the State Bar of Nevada, State Bar of California, State Bar of Maryland, Clark County Bar Association, American Bar Association and International Franchise Association. In addition, Kreutzer sits on the Franchise Law Committee of the State Bar of California. He is admitted to practice in Nevada, California and Maryland.

Kreutzer, who was recently selected by In Business Las Vegas as a 2010 “40 Under 40” honoree, frequently serves as a guest speaker on franchise issues at programs around the country. He is also the author of a franchise blog (www.forwardfranchising.com), a repeat contributor to the Clark County Bar Association magazine, The Communique, and has written for other area publications including the Las Vegas Business Press, the Business Resource Guide and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce’s Business Voice.
