David L. Going Selected as Fellow of American College of Bankruptcy

February 18, 2010

Armstrong Teasdale LLP partner David L. Going has been selected by The American College of Bankruptcy (ACB) for induction as a Fellow in the College’s 21st Class. Going, one of about 35 honorees chosen from a pool of international candidates, will be inducted during a March 12, 2010 ceremony at the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, DC.

Membership in ACB is by invitation only and selection is based on a nominee’s proven record of achievement, professionalism, and service to the insolvency profession. The ACB Board of Regents chooses Fellows from recommendations submitted by the Circuit Admissions Council in each federal judicial circuit and specially appointed Committees for Judicial and International Fellows. Going joins Armstrong Teasdale partner Steven N. Cousins in the College.

“The American College of Bankruptcy confirmed what we already know. David demonstrates the highest level of professionalism, ethics, integrity, and leadership in his area,” said Michael Chivell, managing partner. “His contribution to the enhancement of the firm’s Financial Restructuring, Reorganization and Bankruptcy practice group serves as a model for the entire firm and we congratulate him on this great honor.”

Going’s practice includes all aspects of commercial and corporate financial restructuring, bankruptcy and creditors/debtors rights. In addition, he is an adjunct professor at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. An authority in his field, he has lectured and written on various bankruptcy topics and speaks before professional groups and legal associations.

Going earned his J.D. from Washington University School of Law and his B.A. from Duke University.
